In the morning, I had some free time on my hands and stopped by a 100 Yen Uniform. People from overseas are surprised when I tell them this, but there is a magical place in Japan where you can buy anything for less than a dollar.
I was looking at the shelves, searching for "something to enrich this life..." and I found.***Beauty Face Pack**. And it comes in "super fruit flavours". Strawberry, Kiwi and Acai. Looks like there's a lot to choose from.
It's embarrassing for a middle-aged man to put a few of those in his basket, but it's fine.
Leave the pack on the face for 10 minutes. The skin feels smooth. That alone makes me feel clean on the inside as well as the outside.
All my life, when I think about it, I was only polishing achievements that were outside of me. But this pack is the opposite. I feel like it's about 'recognising what's inside' of me. I can look at the dark circles under my eyes and laugh at my ageing.
I don't think I had it particularly when I was younger, the degree of nostalgic acceptance that I was nothing special, just a middle-aged old man.
